Challenges and Solutions in This Case:
The project covers an area of 3,500 square meters and is designed as a rental cold chain logistics facility for fruits. Phase I consists of three fresh-keeping warehouses totaling 1,000 square meters, while Phase II includes two fresh-keeping warehouses totaling 2,000 square meters and one frozen warehouse of 500 square meters. To enhance competitiveness in the rental market, the client requested a durable, energy-efficient, and power-saving solution. For the cold storage panels, our company selected double-sided color-coated steel sheets from Shanghai Baosteel, galvanized to 120 grams for corrosion resistance and durability. The floors of the fresh-keeping warehouses feature three layers of 50-mm-thick high-density, 300 kPa compression-resistant extruded polystyrene (XPS) boards, providing a total insulation thickness of 150 cm (compared to the traditional 100 cm). This ensures optimal thermal performance for the critical floor insulation. Additionally, the system is equipped with energy-regulated Bitzer screw compressors from Beijing, achieving 50% lower energy consumption than comparable-sized cold storage facilities operated by local competitors. This reduces the client’s operating costs and enhances their competitiveness in the rental market. This project was constructed in 2023 and has been operating without failure for three years to date.
