Air-cooled chiller units, also known as air-cooled water chillers or air-cooled refrigeration units, incorporate a large number of high-quality imported components. However, these components are not simply arranged and combined; instead, they are technically integrated through optimized design to ensure **optimal** compatibility among the unit’s various systems, resulting in near-perfect performance.

Advantages of Air-Cooled Chiller Units

In addition to water-cooled units, air-cooled chillers are also in high demand. In terms of operating efficiency, water-cooled systems incur significantly higher annual operating costs; in such cases, air-cooled chillers are a better choice, as their operating costs are lower than those of water-cooled units. In particular, positive-displacement air-cooled chillers are better able to raise the fluid temperature, thereby greatly improving operating efficiency.

The throttle valve in air-cooled chillers also serves as a flow control valve. In refrigeration systems, it is installed between the evaporator and the dry filter, with its temperature sensor wrapped around the evaporator outlet. The entire air-cooled chiller unit features a cabinet-style enclosure with an aesthetically pleasing, compact design that allows for easy monitoring of the unit’s operating status at any time. Depending on the cooling capacity, the unit can be equipped with its own water tank and circulation pump, eliminating the need for a cooling tower and cooling water pump. Installation is simple and convenient, the unit operates quietly, has a relatively low cost, and is easy to operate.

The internal condensing section of an air-cooled chiller is built-in; its condenser temperature is often relatively high, which causes the condensing pressure to rise, reduces the chiller’s efficiency, and increases energy consumption. Therefore, it is more suitable for refrigerants with lower condensing pressures and regions where outdoor temperatures are not too high in the summer.
